Our success is bound up in getting our relationships right, delivering on what we commit to, holding ourselves accountable and maintaining humility in everything we do. Background & Role Overview The Group Operations Manager reports to the Group Operations Director, and is responsible for managing Risk management, Crisis management, HSS and Vetting, across Obsidian Collective Globally. The role works in close partnership with the Group Operations Director, Country Management Office, People Team, Regional & Portfolio Directors and Head of Capability and Heads of all teams and companies across our Global operations.   Location  UK – Hybrid working - circa 1 day a month in Oxfordshire, and global travel every 4-6 weeks as required. Hours of Work 40 hours per week (evening and weekend work occasionally required)Contract Type ​​Fixed Term Contract​ - 1 year​​Full Time ​ Role Responsibilities     Risk Management  Support risk management delivery and governance, embedding the risk management framework across the organisation into both culture and process. Support the management of risks, by coaching and educating colleagues on collation, action tracking and data gathering best practice.    Crisis Management & Business Continuity  Support the development and delivery of business continuity end to end across all locations and activities. Coordinate Crisis management activities at group level, ensuring process and best practice is followed. Embed escalation protocols and the crisis management framework, whilst supporting testing and refinements for continuous improvement.  People & Asset Tracking  Responsible for real-time visibility of deployed personnel and critical assets. Ensuring our operational teams are equipped, supported, and protected. Embed our tracking tools and process into core operational and financial systems, clarifying roles and responsibilities of our operational leaders and individuals.  Health, Safety & Security (HSS)  Manage and audit group level HSS, including travel, facilities, deployment, and field operations. Develop, update and embed HSS policies and processes, whilst building a culture of HSS excellence and understanding at all levels of responsibility.   Collaborate with Global colleagues, to source appropriate training across the range of locations and requirements. Vetting  Manage and coordinate the vetting of all Obsidian employees and contractors, ensuring the Vetting Cell vet people appropriately and vetting status’s are maintained, through full oversight and management of the process end to end. Ensure the Vetting Cell are informed of upcoming vetting requirements and delivery to the delivery timeline as per policy. Management of supplier relationship and delivery  Requirements  Essential  Experience of delivering HSS, risk management and crisis response, whilst evolving and continually improving processes and frameworks.  Strong understanding of compliance, duty of care, and safeguarding obligations.  Extensive policy writing experience. Ability to work at an operational level, while supporting Group Operations Director with strategic planning Experience of delivering key organisational wide projects on time and on budget  Desirable Experience of managing vetting and security clearances, covering Internal, SC and DV. Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH or IOSH)
