The business is committed to continuous improvement, sustainable practices, and building strong supplier partnerships to deliver exceptional value to its customers.About The RoleAs Group Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the procurement function to deliver cost efficiencies, strengthen supplier engagement, and optimise sourcing strategies. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a team of four and have responsibility for key spend categories, including steel, radiators, electrical components, cabling, oils, fasteners, and logistics. This role provides the opportunity to influence procurement practices across the group and support broader initiatives, including regional sourcing and supplier strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a Group Procurement Strategy, including a 3–5 year roadmap, aligned with business objectives and operational priorities.Lead strategic sourcing, tendering, and supplier negotiations to optimise cost, quality, and supply continuity.Build strong supplier relationships and collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure consistent performance, timely delivery, and compliance with agreements.Work cross-functionally with engineers, operations, and finance teams to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.Drive cost-out initiatives across product lines and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Manage inventory efficiently, minimising obsolescence, and resolving issues with defective or quarantined materials.Lead, coach, and support the procurement and supply chain team, fostering collaboration and helping the team achieve business objectives.Support wider group procurement activities, including cross-regional sourcing in China, India, and Southeast Asia.About YouProven procurement professional with experience in manufacturing or related industries, ideally with knowledge of key suppliers and markets.Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management experience.Experienced in managing tenders, RFPs/RFQs, and contract negotiations.Comfortable using ERP/MRP systems and leveraging data-driven insights for decision-making.Resilient, pragmatic, and confident, able to navigate complex challenges and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment, taking ownership of initiatives and driving them to completion to deliver tangible results.What’s In It For YouThis is a hands-on, strategic opportunity to shape procurement strategy and deliver measurable impact across the business.
