The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3. 2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time.
Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4. 6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct due diligence of investment products and management of Approved Product List on behalf of clients who are Financial Advisory Firms regulated by MASPerform fund comparisons to provide fund recommendations for High Conviction ListsManage Model Portfolios, ensuring that the portfolios are aligned with investment objectives of clientsReflecting the current market outlook, perform fund allocation adjustments to optimize returns and manage risks of the Model PortfoliosContribute to the market commentaries and economic outlookConduct presentations, trainings and educational programmes for client’s Advisors to support the investment AUA businessLiaise with other stakeholders such as the Singlife Group Compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are met relating the above functional activities comply with regulatory requirementsComplete any other ad-hoc tasks/projects in a timely manner with enthusiasm and dedication as requiredRequirementsExperienceGood oral and written presentation skillsHave relevant work experience in Investments preferably with a bank or a financial advisory firm in a sales advisory or research roleAnalytical with problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and develop effective solutionsMeticulous and detail-oriented and have good understanding of economics and research materialGood understanding of regulatory requirementsEducationDegree in Finance/ Economics/ Investments or equivalentCMFAS, CFA, CFP certifications will be advantageousMinimum 2 years in the investment or finance industryIf you find yourself able to demonstrate the criteria above, apply with us now.
