Lead sustainable growth and shape the future of Shellharbour!Are you a dynamic and forward-thinking Growth Planner who can deliver strategic and statutory planning services with a focus on development contributions.In this role, you will take charge of designing, implementing, and refining infrastructure programs, ensuring responsible growth aligned with the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and industry best practice.Reporting to the Growth Planning Manager within the Strategic Planning & Environment Team, in this forward-facing role, you will collaborate with Councillors, the community, and internal teams to plan for Shellharbour’s future needs.Collaborating with others, effective communication, and contributing to innovation are key to the success in this role.To be successful in the position A degree in Town Planning or equivalent with In-depth knowledge of the NSW Environmental Planning & Assessment Act. Proven experience in preparing and providing advice on Development Contribution plans.Strong ability to manage consultants and multidisciplinary teams & project management skills to deliver complex planning initiatives.High level interpersonal, facilitation and negotiation skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.About us: Shellharbour City Council is a dynamic local government organisation serving a thriving coastal community of over 82,000 residents.
