The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, delivering timely reporting, managing one direct report, and coordinating with regional stakeholders across multiple time zones. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, technical competence, and the ability to drive tasks to completion.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIESOversee day-to-day financial operations for Canada, South Africa, and France. Maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Perform and review bank reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy. Prepare monthly cashflow reports and support weekly cash visibility. Lead the month-end close process, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries. Ensure timely completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations. Provide variance analysis and commentary to the Head of Finance.
Maintain documentation to support year-end reporting and audits. Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders to ensure smooth completion. Coordinate with external providers to ensure VAT and tax submissions in France and South Africa are on time. Maintain accurate records for tax and coordinate with Canadian payroll providers. Serve as a key point of contact for Centre Directors and operational teams across regions. Coordinate with external service providers and internal departments. Line manage one Finance Officer supporting bookkeeping and accounts payable. Review and approve work produced by the Finance Officer. Improve internal documentation and financial controls.
Identify opportunities for automation and simplification of finance processes. CANDIDATE PROFILEProfessionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent). Minimum 4 years’ experience in financial reporting, month-end, and audit prep. Strong working knowledge of accounting systems (QBO preferred). Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills. Effective communicator with confidence managing stakeholders and reports. Experience across multiple entities and jurisdictions is an advantage. Fluent in English.
