What You'll Do On a Typical DayLead the planning and execution of large-scale IT projects (software, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, etc.
)Develop project scopes, detailed work plans, schedules, budgets, and status reportsCoordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project deliveryCoordinate geographically dispersed project teams for data integrations, system consolidations, software development, business onboarding projects and other tasksIdentify and mitigate risks, manage changes, and resolve issuesRecommend IT strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identify problems, assess trends and anticipate requirementsForecast requirements to accomplish financial objectives; prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures and research variancesFoster collaboration across departments and manage stakeholder communicationEnsure compliance with organizational policies and industry standardsWhat you need to succeed at GXO:
At a Minimum, You'll NeedBachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience5 years of IT project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior/lead capacityExperience with testing the quality of data produced by project teams, researching data and effectively explaining results to business analystsExtensive breadth of experience delivering complex projects within budget and scopeProficiency in project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc. )Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and toolsDemonstrated success leading cross-functional projects in fast-paced environmentsIt'd be great if you also have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering5+ years of experience as an IT project managerPMP, CSM, NRF Retail or Supply Chain certificationsAbility to work independently, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environmentSolid business acumen and understanding of business drivers and issues surrounding a projectSuperior interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; solid risk management skillsAbility to negotiate and build consensus with various groupsWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
