With that in mind, we encourage all qualified applicants to apply.Job DescriptionTo work closely with the Facilities Manager and priesthood leaders to perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and deep cleaning. This position gathers and provides supplies. Must know and perform the FM group work order process. May assist in contractor supervision and reporting skill level and ability.ResponsibilitiesIdentifies and solve issues of complex nature that trends beyond one's scope or discipline, influenced by culture, language, etc. independently bringing resolution to issues.Leads a team/process/project through expertise in most or all security areas within a function, or master of a specific security disciplinePersuades and effectively communicates with other departments and external organizationsOperates within moderate to high personal risk in threatening and hostile conditions; Able to accept substantial legal and reputational riskTakes initiative to act and empowers others to act for themselves in accomplishing the workCoordinates with the Church Security Department to provide localized security-related guidance, training, and support to all levels of Church leadershipNetwork with security industry counterparts across an assigned geographic area, to include law enforcement entities, embassy personnel, and NGO security managers; leverages those relationships to deliver appropriate assistance to Church leaders, departments and members when needed.Performs other duties as assignedQualificationsCTC II or HND in Building Construction/Electricals or related qualification.Three years working experience in Facilities maintenance – Electricals, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, Deep Cleaning etc.Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate tactfully with priesthood leaders, vendors, and employees.The ability to climb ladders, stairs, and crawl, bend, stoop, squat and reach overhead to perform maintenance functions.familiar with and able to safely use industrial cleaning chemicals and productsSeasoned ability to operate equipment, tools, etc., both manual and automatic, to make repairs.proficient in the use of Computers. Must understand and be able to use MS Office Applications, specific software’s, web-based programs, internet services and wireless communications. Must be in good health and willing to work odd hours. Must be service oriented.
