Hardware Designer For Power Supply - Västerås – 6/12 Months Plus - FREELANCEOur customer is looking for an experienced Hardware Designer specialising in Power Supply to support ongoing and upcoming projects given the busy pipeline ahead. The candidate will be responsible for designing efficient and reliable power supplies that meet demanding requirements for performance, EMC, thermal management, and size.Requirements:Proven experience in Power Supply Design (DC/DC, AC/DC, or similar).Strong background in electronic hardware design.Hands-on experience with transformer design and dimensioning, loop control, component selection, and circuit optimization.Knowledge of efficiency and EMC compliance testing.Ability to work effectively in a lab-based, team environment.Responsibilities:Design and develop power supplies from concept through to verification and testing.Select and calculate values for key electronic components (e.g., capacitors, inductors, transformers).Ensure compliance with efficiency, EMC, cooling, and safety standards.Collaborate with lab technicians during prototype build and testing phases.Conduct extensive verification under various conditions (load, temperature, voltage).
