Summary: The Instructional Designer position plays a crucial role in enhancing our training programs. The Instructional Designer will work collaboratively with subject matter experts, trainers, and team members to design and develop engaging and effective learning materials that align with our business objectives. Essential Job Functions: Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and update training materials, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training materials, presentations, and other resources. Needs Assessment: Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct training needs assessments and identify performance gaps to inform curriculum development. Content Creation: Create interactive and engaging learning content that promotes knowledge retention and skill development. Learning Technologies:
Leverage instructional design tools and technologies to enhance the learning experience, including eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems. Evaluation: Develop assessment tools and conduct evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement. Compliance: Ensure that all training materials adhere to industry regulations and company policies. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Stay Current: Stay updated with industry trends, instructional design best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance training strategies. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Technological Proficiency: Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e. g. , Articulate Rise and Storyline 360), learning management systems, and multimedia software. Knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams required. Knowledge of SharePoint, Smartsheet, Canva, Vyond, Camtasia, and Microsoft Clipchamp preferred. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Team Player:
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, as you will work closely with subject matter experts and training professionals. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify training needs and evaluate program effectiveness. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in training materials. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and technologies. Financial Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus but not required. Education and/or Experience: A bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field is preferred.
Two (2) to four (4) years demonstrated work experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training program creation with a solid grasp of adult learning theory. Must have a portfolio showing previous work or projects, especially with Articulate Storyline creations.
