We are recruiting for an Assistant Merchandiser. This is a fixed term contract until August 2026. About The Role?As an Assistant Merchandiser, you’ll support the Merchandiser in planning and trading within designated product divisions to optimise sales, margin, and stock-turn. You’ll play an active role in developing and maintaining range plans, producing trading reports, and collaborating closely with buying and retail teams to deliver results that align with Harrods' exceptional standards. Key responsibilities include:
Supporting range planning and forecasting through detailed analysis with buyer and historical performance review, as well as post promotion reviewProducing accurate weekly trade reports and monitoring sales performance against OTB (Open-to-Buy) plansManaging intake processes, ensuring timely deliveries, and resolving shipment issues efficientlyGuiding and developing Merchandise Admin Assistants while supporting recruitment and onboarding and line managing once hiredDeputising for the Merchandiser as needed, maintaining strong cross-functional relationships and communicationCore duties also involve; analysis, Monday trade, adhoc trade actions, promotional, building clearance plans, helping build and maintain line cards, repeat orders and tradingDepending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’.

About You?You will be an analytical, commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
With a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of initiative, you’re confident using data to influence decisions and support business performance. You enjoy working collaboratively, leading others when needed, and driving continuous improvement in every aspect of your work.
