Job Description

Hartmann Young is partnering exclusively with a leading global distributor of speciality ingredients and solutions to appoint a Head of Commercial – Australia & New Zealand (ANZ). This confidential appointment will oversee the growth and operational strategy across the nutraceuticals, functional foods, and personal care sectors in the region. This is a pivotal commercial role offering autonomy, cross-sector influence, and the opportunity to lead a high-performing regional team for a globally respected innovator in the ingredients space. Key ResponsibilitiesLead commercial operations across ANZ, managing P&L responsibility and regional business performance.

Define and execute strategic growth plans across nutraceuticals, functional food, and health-related segments. Oversee regional sales, technical support, marketing, and supplier engagement. Drive market development by identifying trends, fostering client relationships, and launching innovative ingredient solutions. Collaborate with global category leaders to align local execution with international strategy. Coach and develop the regional commercial team, instilling a high-performance culture. Ideal Candidate Profile10+ years of senior commercial experience in ingredients, nutraceuticals, or specialty chemicals. Deep market knowledge across ANZ and a strong B2B network across health & nutrition, food, or pharma.

Proven track record in growing regional markets, managing cross-functional teams, and achieving commercial KPIs. Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Technical understanding of ingredient functionality is an advantage. Based in Sydney or Melbourne; open to domestic and occasional international travel. Please apply directly.
