This is a 9 month contract (1 October 2025 - 30 June 2026), with the possibility of extension Your new role The Program Director will oversee the delivery and implementation of the clients Technology Roadmap. The roadmap is a 3-year strategic plan aimed at addressing critical operational risks, improving efficiency, and enhancing data and system capabilities.

The roadmap focuses on key initiatives such as upgrading the agency's claim management tool (built on Appian platform), uplifting data and analytics capabilities, integrating AI tools, and implementing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. What you'll need to succeed Provide overall direction and leadership for the delivery of the 3-Year Technology Roadmap, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and strategic priorities. Develop and oversee the 3-Year Technology roadmap integrated schedule including dependency management and annual update of the roadmap to ensure there is a 3-year rolling outlook.

Apply appropriate program and project management techniques and methodologies aligned to Queensland Government requirementsCollaborate with key stakeholders, including executives, the governance group(s), business units, and external vendors, to ensure appropriate engagement in the prioritisation of the backlog and in product showcases. .

Plan and coordinate procurement processes relevant to the delivery of the roadmap including full market tender process for the support of AppianIdentify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with delivery of the roadmap, ensuring proactive management of issues that could impact delivery successLead and coordinate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and work with line managers to ensure resources are effectively utilisedManage the roadmap budget within the budget agreed by the relevant governance groups overseeing the deliveryMonitor and report on expenditures, ensuring financial accountability throughout the delivery of the roadmapCoordinate delivery of the roadmap with relevant line managers ensuring there is appropriate investment in change so that the roadmap delivers value to and agreed benefits are managed.

Track and report on roadmap delivery progress, including risks, issues, dependencies, costs and benefits providing regular reports to stakeholders and governance groups.
