Business Analyst position for a public sector project Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst to support public sector initiatives by analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and facilitating data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders across government agencies to deliver impactful solutions that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and document business requirements. Analyze current processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements. Develop business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to support project proposals.
Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT and development teams. Support the design and implementation of new systems or enhancements to existing platforms. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to elicit requirements and feedback. Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and compliance standards. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and government stakeholders. Ensure solutions adhere to public sector policies, data governance, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the public sector or government projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in business analysis tools (e. g. , Microsoft Excel, Visio, Power BI, JIRA). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with government procurement, budgeting, and compliance frameworks is a plus.
