The role is responsible for implementing HCCcompliance programs business needs and compliance standards in Japan. The incumbent delivers businessprocess improvement, ameliorate efficiency and effectiveness of the HCC programs, whilst supportingsuccessful change management implementation. The role will be also engaged in identifying new focus areasand contributing to the implementation of changes, working closely with Region Program team as well asJapan HCC Business Partnering team, to mitigate compliance risk and align with priority business areas.Profile High level of integrity with good ethical core values Requires deep knowledge of HCC programs and anti-corruption laws and regulations. A creative thinker, able to understand and describe complex business processes, highly solutionoriented, with a hands-on mentality, able to balance between local and global requirements, operatingwith a global, cross-sector mindset. Effective listener and communicator, being able to understand unique requirements, while fosteringharmonization and alignment. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills. Experience in leading projects in one or more compliance areas e.g., HCC, FCPA, Finance, Quality,Regulatory. Ability to successfully manage multiple, critical projects simultaneously. Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. Highly self-motivated, strong agility and resilience.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Collaboration with HCC team members, across groups in MT Japan including Vision and Heartrecovery Business, to scope, design, initiate and implement operation projects. Leads and executes compliance program operation of MT Japan including Vision and Heart recoveryBusiness. Assists the MT Japan HCCO with the senior manager to develop effective project portfoliomanagement structure, promoting necessary changes, process harmonization and leveragingexperiences across region/globe. Shares best practice within HCC to develop and implement consistent controls in Japan, wherenecessary. Supports the development of harmonized standard processes applicable in Japan, where necessary. Represents MT Japan HCC including Vision and Heart recovery Business on assigned project teams toharmonize, standardize and streamline HCC processes and systems. Seeks opportunities for new solutions through innovative approaches, identified through internal andexternal network. Other duties may be assigned by Senior Manager of Program Management.EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is preferred Minimum of 5 years business, legal and/or compliance-related experience; preferred in thepharmaceutical and/or medical device industries; Supervisory experience preferred Cross-functional and/or cross-sector experience preferred Knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards for Japan, as well as the FCPASKILLS And ABILITIES High level of integrity with good ethical core values Ability to make and stand by difficult decisions. Breadth of experience in all areas of: (1) compliance and regulation; (2) devising and implementingstandard operating procedures; (3) auditing, testing and monitoring; and (4) training. Independent and objective thinker, able to advance ideas and influence others. Manages conflicts in an open and constructive manner. Experience in the people development and management would be an advantage. Strong drive for results and solution orientated.
