We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head - Business Analytics to lead Dialog’s enterprise-wide analytics architecture and strategy. The role is responsible for driving AI-led transformation, designing future-ready data and analytics systems, and enabling analytics democratization across the organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring that Dialog achieves a sustainable AI competitive advantage and business impact through innovative and scalable data solutions. The role also stewards analytics operations and adoption across all business portfolios—ensuring trustworthy data, self-service at scale, and a strong analyst talent pipeline.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the enterprise analytics architecture aligned to business goals.Modernize and simplify platforms for cloud scale and cost efficiency; partner with vendors and communities to adopt best practices.Embed with each portfolio to deliver required datasets, dashboards, and KPIs with clear intake, prioritization, and SLAs.Own analytics operations and the delivery model: data quality, freshness SLOs, lineage, monitoring, backlog, roadmaps, service catalogue, and runbooks.Govern enterprise metadata: business glossary, data dictionaries, semantic layer, and stewardship across Dialog and Axiata.Lead Customer 360 delivery and integrity for cross‑portfolio reporting.Grow adoption and value: set KPIs, track usage and impact, publish quarterly scorecards, and remove blockers.Enable governed self‑service with no/low‑code tools, certified datasets, and reusable templates; enforce security, privacy, and cost controls.Advance next‑generation analytics with vendors and communities: natural‑language queries, proactive insights, and analyst copilots.Build the analyst function: define competencies, run the community of practice, hire, mentor, and train; ensure PDPA and AI/data governance compliance.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or IT (Master’s degree would be an added advantage).Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior analytics or data architecture role, preferably within large-scale or enterprise environments.Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, data engineering, and cloud analytics ecosystems.Hands-on experience with tools such as R, Python, and data visualization platforms.Proven experience in leading cross-functional analytics initiatives, designing scalable systems, and managing high-performing teams.Continuous learner with a passion for innovation, AI, and emerging technologies.Demonstrated success partnering with business portfolios to deliver measurable outcomes through data products and decision support.Proven ownership of analytics operations (data quality, freshness SLOs, lineage/monitoring) and enterprise metadata (catalog, glossary, semantic layer).Track record deploying and governing self‑service analytics at scale (e.g., Power BI/Looker/Tableau, Alteryx/Power Apps, natural‑language query) with strong adoption metrics.Hands‑on familiarity with modern data/analytics tooling (e.g., dbt, Airflow, lakehouse/cloud warehouses, observability/lineage tools) and visualization/storytelling standards.People‑leadership depth: building teams, establishing competency frameworks, and running structured training/mentoring programs for analysts.Strong understanding of data privacy and governance within Sri Lanka’s PDPA and broader Axiata/industry policies.
