Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Manages and monitors archiving, auditing, coding, data entry, and dissemination of information related to health information management.Sources strategic direction for the Health Information Management entity, aligning its goals with the overall objectives of the organization.Ensures the proper management, security, and compliance of health information in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards.Participate in implementation and optimization of health information systems, collaborating with other parties to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Manages and develops a team of health information professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including healthcare providers, IT professionals, and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.Identifies opportunities for process improvement and implements best practices in health information management.Provides training and development opportunities for the health information management team to enhance their skills and knowledge.Participates in any planning and development programs as required.Evaluates and manages the performance and professional development of subordinates according to the performance appraisal policy and initiate corrective action plans as necessary.Receives employee and work performance reports from supervisors and approve & follow-up on improvement/action plans.Formulates tasks, plans, resolves work-related problems related to performance, workload, and scheduling.Contributes, supports, participates and/or manages special projects and assignments.Approves and manages use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for evaluation and development of the unit.Leads quality improvement initiatives and continuously applies quality improvement tools and techniques to achieve desired outcomes. Develops, implements and manages work-related and training goals of reporting supervisors/subordinates.Solves problems related to employees within the entity, frequently reviews task amendments accordingly. Writes an official delegation of all responsibilities and assignments prior to leave / vacation. Performs other job-related duties as assigned as per to the policy within the entity assigned.Qualifications:Essential: Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics or equivalent related field. Preferred: Master Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics or equivalent related field.Experience:Bachelor: Nine (9) years work experience in IT or related field including Four (4) years in senior role. Master: Seven (7) years work experience in IT or related field including Three (3) years in senior role.
