With capabilities in:Dewatering system maintenanceCustom-built industrial assetsSite-based mechanical servicesFabrication & pressure weldingWe recently expanded into a new, state-of-the-art facility in Pinjarra and continue to invest in automation and innovation.We are now seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Accounts / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in driving the financial success and long-term sustainability of the Group.The OpportunityAs Head of Accounts/CFO, you will provide strategic financial leadership across the ABBA Group of Companies, including subsidiaries, partnerships, and joint ventures.This role will suit a commercially minded finance leader who thrives on driving results through insight, systems improvement, and hands-on collaboration with business leaders.You will:Lead the development and execution of group-wide financial strategies.Oversee all financial reporting, governance, and risk management functions.Build financial visibility across all entities to support informed decision-making.Optimise group systems and reporting frameworks (Xero, Simpro, Power BI, etc.).Lead and mentor the Finance and Accounting team to achieve operational excellence.Partner with the CEO and General Manager on strategic growth and investment initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all entities.Deliver timely, accurate, and compliant consolidated reporting.Standardise financial workflows, cost allocation frameworks, and reporting dashboards.Ensure compliance with all taxation, accounting, and statutory obligations.Oversee risk management, insurance, and capital structure optimisation.Lead financial due diligence for acquisitions, JVs, and growth projects.Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.About YouYou are a proven finance leader with strong commercial acumen and a passion for operational excellence. You bring experience, strategic insight, and the confidence to influence at all levels.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce with full CPA/CA membership (or finalist progressing towards completion).8–10+ years' experience in senior financial management roles with direct team leadership experience, ideally within construction, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.Strong understanding of multi-entity structures, trusts, and group consolidations.Demonstrated success aligning financial strategy with business objectives.Advanced proficiency in Xero for multi-entity management, Simpro for project costing, and Power BI for financial reporting and dashboard creation.Australian work rights requiredAbility to obtain security clearances for mining site accessAttributes:Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership style.Strong communicator with the ability to influence operational leaders.High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.Adaptable, proactive, and aligned with ABBA's values of integrity, accountability, and teamwork.Why Join ABBA Group?At ABBA, you'll join a values-driven organisation where leadership, innovation, and collaboration are celebrated.
