Head of AtelierReports To: Business Manager / FounderRole PurposeThe Head of Atelier ensures flawless execution of The couture and ready-to-wear pieces. This role upholds craftsmanship standards, manages production teams, and guarantees each garment meets the brand’s artistic and technical benchmarks.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of the couture and RTW atelier.Supervise pattern makers, tailors, and finishers to maintain quality control.Manage production schedules aligned with design and retail timelines.Ensure material sourcing and inventory tracking are efficient.Conduct quality inspections at all production stages.Translate design sketches into technical instructions for the team.Maintain safety, order, and professionalism in the workshop.Support cost management through efficient material utilization.Coordinate with the Senior Designer and Business Manager on delivery targets.Mentor junior artisans and promote continuous skills improvement.KPIsOn-time delivery of collections and client orders.Defect-free production rate.Efficiency of resource utilization.Team skill growth and retention.Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceMinimum 7 years’ experience in fashion production or atelier management.Expert knowledge of garment construction, finishing, and quality control.Strong leadership and communication skills.Proven ability to manage small-batch, luxury production.Behavioral & Cultural CompetenciesMeticulous, calm under pressure, and quality-driven.Embodies ethos of excellence through craftsmanship.Collaborative, respectful leader who values artistry and precision.Work Environment & CollaborationWorks closely with the Senior Designer, Business Manager, and Production Team within an artisanal, high-standard atelier environment.Equal Opportunity StatementThe employer is committed to inclusivity, respect, and skill-based advancement for all artisans.
