Head of Business Development & Sales - Clean Energy / Energy Management Systems / Energy Distribution / Grid Management / Energy Resilience / Hydrogen / Ammonia / Electrolyzers / Critical Infrastructure / BESS / Energy Technology / Microgrids Interested in a true greenfield leadership opportunity, with significant strategic influence?As a leader in the Business Development and Sales space, you'll enjoy a high-impact role helping transform an existing clean energy business into a multi-solution technology provider, with the autonomy to shape both vision and team from day one.The job:The current portfolio spans energy management systems, hydrogen electrolyzers, and energy storage (BESS). Your role will be to define and drive new commercial directions, specifically:Build business cases for emerging technologies and markets, and identify key verticals for future investment (energy resilience is a particular focus, so areas such as energy distribution, grid management solutions, microgrids, critical infrastructure etc will likely feature significantly).Collaborate with senior leadership to turn these cases into actionable growth plans.Leadership: In your first 12 months, you’ll also lay the groundwork for establishing a new Business Development & Sales department, hiring, mentoring, and scaling a team as a disciplinary manager.This is a real blank canvas role, and your market insight and commercial instincts will directly shape how, and where, the business expands.What’s on offer?A high impact commercial position, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference on the direction of the business.Best of both: The team operate with the agility of a start-up or scale-up (fast decision-making, opportunity to shape internal processes) backed by the financial strength and stability of their headquarters outside of Germany.A very competitive compensation package, coupled with the chance to scale a department from scratch.Ideally, you’ll have experience from the clean technology sector, either with a technology provider or energy supplier, coupled with a genuine interest in advancing the green transition.Experience in either Hydrogen, or energy distribution / grid management solutions is strongly preferred.Location: While the team's HQ is in Bavaria, you'll have the opportunity to be based anywhere in Germany, with occasional travel to site.
