We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our Strategy team at Mercer Super as the Head of Business Intelligence. This role will be based in either Melbourne or Sydney. We’re looking for those who want to help shape the next chapter of superannuation in Australia.As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data and insights strategy that aligns with Mercer Super’s mission to deliver superior member outcomes and operational excellence. You will oversee the establishment of the Business Intelligence function, managing large-scale member and operational data while ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with superannuation regulations and privacy standards.We will count on you to:Develop and execute a comprehensive data and insights strategy that drives superior member outcomes and operational excellenceEstablish the Business Intelligence function, extracting and presenting data insights from diverse sources to senior audiences, facilitating informed decision-makingCollaborate with product, member services, compliance, and marketing teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights that support strategic initiativesEstablish and maintain best practices for data governance, privacy, and ethical data use, ensuring compliance with APRA, ASIC, and other regulatory requirementsLead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts, data scientists, and insights specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaborationMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to member satisfaction, retention, and financial performance, providing regular reporting and insightsWhat you need to have:Proven experience in the superannuation, wealth, or insurance sectorsStrong skills in extracting and synthesising data from a variety of sourcesA comprehensive understanding of current regulatory, legal, and compliance standardsA track record of successfully driving long-term strategic agendas and influencing decision-makingWhat makes you stand out:Experience in navigating complex organisational structures effectivelyA solid background in data analysis and interpretation that supports strategic initiativesLeadership experience that promotes collaboration and continuous improvement within data teamsFamiliarity with advanced analytics methodologies, including machine learning and AIWhy join our team:We support your professional development through opportunities for growth, engaging work, and supportive leadershipWe foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can collaborate with talented colleagues to create impactful solutions for our clients and communitiesOur scale provides a range of career opportunities, along with competitive benefits and rewards to enhance your well-beingApplications can be considered from candidates who have the appropriate approval to work in Australia.
