Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Commercial for Saigon Premier Container Terminal (SPCT), which belongs to DP World. This is a senior sales leadership position with a key focus in driving revenue growth, building customer relationships, and ensuring the company's competitiveness in the ports and terminals industry.Key Accountabilities:Formulate and adhere to the commercial budget to fulfill financial obligations and project plans effectively.Develop strategic plans for the implementation of SPCT sales logistics strategy encompassing RORO business, Cruiser business, 3rd Party Logistics, short sea shipping, and the full range of Terminal product offerings.Ensure the management and fulfillment of shipping lines' expectations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to maintain strong partnerships.Collaborate with senior management to provide regular updates and propose solutions concerning the business impact of projects.Create comprehensive customer profiles, update business plans regularly, and design multi-modal logistical solutions.Proactively seek out new business opportunities, introduce innovative products, explore new markets, and pursue diversification strategies.Uphold and exhibit positive behaviors in alignment with SPCT/DP World's Founder's Principals to maintain a harmonious work environment.Take on the responsibility of leading, mentoring, and fostering team engagement within the organization.Provide guidance, foster collaboration, and empower the team to effectively achieve business goals and objectives.Fulfill any additional duties as designated by the line manager to support the overall success of the organization.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Higher Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.Proven success in sales leadership across shipping lines, shipping agencies, and carriers such as Sowatco and Transimex, along with experience in the ports and terminals sector and exposure to international markets, backed by at least 10–15 years in a similar role.Strong understanding of the ports and terminals market, industry trends, and customer needs.Experience in the automotive industry, PDI service is an advantage.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.Experience in managing and leading a high-performing sales team, with a focus on coaching, mentorship, and performance management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management to align business objectives and drive results.Strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
