Position Summary: The Head of Compliance & Licensing is responsible for overseeing all compliance, licensing, and regulatory obligations for the company’s operations globally. This role ensures that the business operates within the framework of the IT industry in general and especially all applied Gambling Acts, provincial gambling regulations, and all other applicable laws. The position requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of gaming laws, and the ability to design and implement compliance programs that safeguard the company’s license, reputation, and operational integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain the company’s compliance framework in line with gambling legislation.Ensure full adherence to licensing conditions set by the National Gambling Board and relevant Provincial Gambling Boards.Oversee the preparation and submission of license applications, renewals, and regulatory reports.Monitor legislative developments and advise senior management on potential impacts.Manage AML/KYC procedures, ensuring compliance with the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA) and related AML directives.Coordinate and respond to regulatory audits, inspections, and investigations.Provide compliance training to staff and ensure company-wide adherence to responsible gambling standards.Work with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure advertising, promotions, and player communications comply with legal and ethical standards.Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and industry bodies on compliance matters.Maintain detailed compliance records and implement robust reporting processes.Qualifications & ExperienceExperience: Minimum 5–8 years in compliance roles within the gambling industry, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.In-depth understanding of the National Gambling Act, provincial gambling legislation, AML/KYC regulations, and FICA requirements.Proven experience liaising with regulatory authorities in South America (Brazil,...), Africa (South Africa, Nigeria,...).
