As we transform this incredible 200-year-old business we are looking for highly motivated, engaged, passionate and driven individuals to join our team - someone who is up for the transformation challenge and excited by the significant opportunity it represents.Own ItDesign and steer the financial landscape by enhancing speed, quality, and cost efficiency through rigorous budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes for the Group, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reporting of consolidated financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS.Monitor and analyze business performance and profitability across all business units (e.g., Courier, Retail, Logistics), providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations.Oversee and manage the end-to-end budgeting and financial forecasting cycles (AOP, Quarterly Forecasts). Own the Fixed Asset Portfolio management, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, physical verification, and control over the company’s vast asset base across all locations.Provide leadership to the Corporate Accounts and Management Reporting teams, fostering their development and retaining key talent.Build TrustMaintain the financial integrity of the General Ledger and optimize finance operational efficiency by utilizing a single source of truth approach for all accounting data.Ensure strict compliance with MFRS/IFRS, Companies Act (Malaysia), laws, policies, and best practices in financial management and statutory reporting.Establish and enforce robust internal controls over financial reporting and the Fixed Asset lifecycle.Oversee financial governance for state and regional finance operations, ensuring their reporting, controls, and compliance align with Corporate standards.One TeamCollaborate closely with the GCFO, and other senior leaders to support strategic planning and decision-making.Lead and inspire the management accounting and corporate accounts teams to drive positive business impact and foster a high-performance, solutions-oriented culture.Act as a key finance partner to the Operations, Commercial, People and Digital teams.Move FastLead the continuous improvement of the financial reporting cycle, aiming for faster, more frequent, and more insightful reporting.Meet all statutory and internal reporting deadlines and timelines effectively and consistently.Thrive in a fast-paced transformational environment, adapting swiftly and effectively to changing priorities, new business models, and emerging financial reporting requirements.Drive InnovationChampioning the integration of advanced tools and systems to modernize the Corporate Accounts and Management Reporting functions, moving towards a future-ready finance model.Implement AI-driven anomaly detection in the General Ledger and transaction data to rapidly identify and mitigate fraud or accounting errors, enhancing financial control.Identify and eliminate manual, redundant tasks within month-end close, budgeting, and financial reconciliation processes through automation and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), thereby increasing the speed and efficiency of the finance function.Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Finance team, encouraging the testing of new technologies and methodologies to sustain a competitive edge and support Pos Malaysia's transformation agenda. Delight CustomersBuild strong relationships with key business stakeholders, aligning financial strategies with organizational goals.Proactively engage internal customers (Department Heads, Business Unit CEOs) to deliver tailored analysis that drives their success. Job RequirementsRelevant professional certification ( ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or MIA membership) is required.Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership/managerial role overseeing both Corporate Accounting (GL/Statutory) and Management Reporting (FP&A) functions.Strong understanding of emerging financial technologies, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools.In-depth knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and extensive practical experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, etc.) is essential.Demonstrated ability to lead significant process and system transformation initiatives in a large, complex organization.Strong leadership, influence, and complex problem-solving abilities.This is a super exciting time to be joining Pos Malaysia.
