Animal Welfare League NSW (AWL NSW) has been protecting, caring for, and advocating for animals for over 60 years. We’re a purpose-driven not-for-profit dedicated to improving the welfare of animals across NSW – and now we’re seeking an experienced leader to strengthen the corporate backbone that makes our impact possible.As Head of Corporate Services, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, helping shape organisational direction and ensuring Corporate Services delivers against long-term objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll lead Finance, Governance, Risk, Compliance, and IT functions, enabling informed decision-making and supporting the achievement of AWL’s mission.What you’ll do:Partner with the CEO and Board to shape strategy and align corporate functions with long-term goals.Lead financial management, and reporting to safeguard AWL’s assets and future.Strengthen governance frameworks, Board support, and compliance with statutory obligations.Drive effective risk management across financial, operational, and IT domains.Lead IT strategy and investments that enhance resilience and innovation.Mentor and manage a dedicated corporate services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.What you’ll bring:Senior leadership experience across finance, governance, strategy and operations (NFP experience highly regarded).Strong financial and commercial acumen, with proven success managing end-to-end corporate services in a complex environment.Professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA) and deep knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements.A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to engage effectively with Boards, executives, and stakeholders.Passion for making a difference in an organisation with a clear and compassionate purpose.This is an exciting opportunity to apply your corporate leadership skills in a values-driven organisation where your work directly contributes to animal welfare and community impact.For further information email noel.rowland@brownandchase.com
