Collinsville State High School is seeking an innovative and motivated Head of Department - Curriculum to joing our school leadership team. As the Head of Department - Curriculum you will, lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives, participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division, develop the quality of teaching and learning, and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.This is a temporary full-time position for a period of 12 months, unless otherwise determined. The school services the Collinsville township and the surrounding rural area. Established in 1986, it provides education to a diverse range of students, from both town and rural-based backgrounds. Located in the northern region of the Bowen Basin, local industry is largely based on coal mining. The school size and enrolment resultantly fluctuates in line with the fortunes of the mining industry.Our school motto, 'Nolite Dedere' means 'never surrender', ‘never give in', ‘never give up' and we pride ourselves on aspiring to do this daily.
