Lead and shape innovative teaching and learning initiatives at Maryborough State High School, as our Head of Department – Curriculum (Learning Futures).This temporary full-time role (22 January – 11 December 2026, with possible extension) offers the opportunity to drive curriculum development, enhance teacher capability, and implement strategies to improve student outcomes across all learning areas.Collaborate with school leaders to strengthen assessment practices, use data to guide decisions, and support professional growth, ensuring the school continues to deliver high-quality, future-focused learning.This is a temporary full-time position to commence from 22 January 2026 until 11 December 2026 with possibility of extension, unless otherwise determined. This role supports the development of future-focused pedagogies that enhance student outcomes and teacher efficacy across all curriculum areas.The role also includes behaviour management responsibility for a year level cohort (Year 7 2026)Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Drive the integration of digital tools and platforms to simplify and enhance teacher planning, resource development, and curriculum deliveryStaff Capability Building: Design and deliver professional learning that supports differentiated planning approaches, catering to diverse teaching styles, experience levels, and classroom contexts.Innovation in Pedagogy: Champion evidence-based, future-oriented teaching practices including blended learning, personalised learning pathways, and data-informed instruction.Collaboration & Coaching: Work collaboratively with teaching teams to embed efficient planning workflows and inclusive learning strategies.Change Management: Lead change initiatives that foster a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices.
