Guided by our motto Work Hard - Be Kind , we are proud to build a school community where staff, students and families work together and strive for the best in all we do.About The RoleAs the Head of Department (Curriculum), you will lead the curriculum focus in alignment with school and departmental initiatives, contribute to delivering the vision of the State Schools Division, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and foster positive relationships among students, teachers, and stakeholders.Your ResponsibilitiesAs the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Work as part of our executive leadership team to provide quality curriculum support to our classroom teachers.Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.Be futures oriented and strategic.Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department.Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the curriculum areas or whole school program to achieve goals.Please refer to the attached role description for the full list of responsibilities and mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
