If this sounds like you, and you are ready to take on a broad area of responsibilities, then you could be our new colleague.Your new positionAs a leader for the In Vivo Pharmacology team, you will develop, guide and empower team members. The team consists of 5 scientists and 3 lab technicians. In addition, you will keep yourself sharp on science by contributing directly to our research projects with your scientific expertise.We offer exciting responsibilities:Leading and developing scientists and technicians.Driving our projects forward in the role of ” Scientific Lead” supporting the project groups with high level science input.Ensure and oversee the development of the models needed to drive our projects forward with efficiency and high quality.Identify new potential drug targets and suggest new early research projects.Building partnerships with academia and other potential collaborators.Your profileYou are passionate about leading scientists and technicians where you use your empathy and solid communications skills to navigate the team through changes. With genuine interest in translational research focused on metabolic health, neuroscience, and obesity-related inflammation, you excel at building productive relationships across functions and levels.Postdoc experience.Experience with leading teams.Experience in developing and running animal models within the metabolic neuroscience area (obesity and comorbidities).Strong statistical analysis competencies.An advantage with competencies within bioinformatics.An advantage with knowledge within inflammation.Confident in interpretation, reporting and publication of study results.Your new teamThe Translational Pharmacology function, is a part of Zealand Pharma’s Research organization that is responsible for identifying new drug targets and driving them forward to clinical trials. We are focused on delivering high quality drug candidates within the agreed time frame to our Clinical development organization.The Translational Pharmacology function consists of 3 in vivo departments, counting 29 people in total, where you will lead one of them.
