If so, we have the position for you!The Company A global Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) with 100+ employees, 1GW+ of installed capacity across Europe, 1GW in construction, and a 10GW+ European pipeline.As the portfolio expands, so does its ambition to achieve significant year-on-year growth. As part of ongoing investment into high focus markets and the need to drive Development & Construction of existing secured pipeline, whilst originating new projects, they are looking to secure a Head of Development for their German organisation.The RoleAs Head of Development you will be responsible for leading the group’s activities for Utility Scale Renewables Power Plants.Some duties will include:Drive the development and construction of a large, multi-technology, renewable energy project portfolioFocus on taking 200MW+ of mature projects into construction and through to COD, whilst maturing the remaining pipeline and originating fresh pipelineSupport the executive leadership in defining and executing the business's 3 to 5 year roadmap strategy in GermanyBuild and maintain key stakeholder relationships with DNOs, TSOs, OEMs, and EPCsBe the face of the business in Germany by attending events, and leading relationships with local & national government, as well as industry bodiesMentor and lead a high performing teamTake a leading role in commercial negotiations, lobbying, and brand engagementProgression to Country Manager/MD in 3 to 5 yearsThe Person:The successful candidate will likely have:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Law3+ years experience in Project Development or Construction of Utility Scale Solar PV, Battery Storage, or Onshore Wind projectsProven ability to develop a ready-to-build pipeline in ItalyThe ability to recruit, lead, and drive results from a high-performing teamA strong ability to operate at all levels, right up to Board Level ManagementA strong network of Developers, EPCs, OEMs, Government, and Financial InstitutionsA strong commercial acumen with proven experience in Legal, Contractual, and Project Finance.
