Head of Engineering

Overview:An international industrial technology leader is seeking a seasoned IT executive to drive the global strategy and execution of engineering IT solutions. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the digital backbone supporting advanced engineering functions across a multinational environment.Key Responsibilities:Define and execute the global IT strategy for engineering systems, including CAD, PLM, and technical documentation platforms.Lead a geographically dispersed team of IT professionals and oversee international project delivery.Partner with global engineering and product development stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT capabilities with business objectives.Manage relationships with key technology vendors, ensuring operational stability, security, and innovation.Drive digital transformation and continuous improvement in engineering IT processes, while maintaining compliance with corporate governance and regulatory standards.Monitor and optimize budgets, delivering cost-effective and high-quality IT services globally.Key Interfaces:Directly report to the Group CIO / SVP of Global IT.Collaborate closely with global engineering and product excellence teams.Lead and mentor cross-functional and cross-regional IT teams.Engage with external vendors and strategic technology partners to co-develop solutions.Candidate Profile:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT application management, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles within complex, global environments.Demonstrated expertise in engineering software platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Siemens Teamcenter).Proven track record in IT strategy, digital transformation, and vendor management.Fluent in English; additional language skills considered an asset.What’s on Offer:Strategic global leadership position with substantial impact on engineering digitalization.Collaborative and innovation-driven work environment within a leading global organization.Attractive compensation and benefits package.Opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression.
