Job SummaryThe primary purpose of this position is to manage the finance departments of each Business Unit and ensuring that proper accounting and recording of company transactions are performed in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with policies and procedures.Major Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):Implement appropriate processes and controls to ensure all transactions are recorded timely and accurately and in compliance with the policies and procedures of the Company.Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process.Implement appropriate processes and controls to ensure financial reporting deadlines are adhered to.Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the Company and liaising with tax consultant.Implement appropriate processes and controls ensure compliance with taxation laws.Prepare monthly 3-month cash flow forecasts.Provide accurate financial data as and when required to enable the senior leadership team to make critical business decisions.Managing the Company's banking and borrowing arrangements including compliance with covenants.Managing and overseeing the Company’s financial systemsRecruitment, training, mentoring and development of staffOverseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions in all Business Units.Managing and tracking budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information.Reviewing all formal finance related policies and procedures and ensuring they are kept up to date.Reporting toCFOSupervisesFinance Managers of all Business UnitsChief Accountant in Head OfficeQualifications:EducationMaster or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or Finance required, orProfessional accounting certification e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA.Experience:Minimum 10 years accounting experience in Accounting requiredDirect experience in general Hospital Finance & AccountingMinimum 5 years of management experience requiredExperience in healthcare provider business office operations, especially billing and collections, preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTechnical Expertise – Some understanding of healthcare including knowledge of healthcare terms and accounts receivable processesLeadership - Guides individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, setting high performance standards and delivering leading quality servicesTactical execution - oversees the development, deployment and direction of complex programs and processesFinancial management - applies tools and processes to successfully manage to budgetOrganization - proactively prioritizes needs and effectively manages resourcesCommunication - communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.Customer orientation - establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectationsInterpersonal skills - able to work effectively with other employees, patients and external partiesPolicies & Procedures - demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systemsBasic skills - demonstrates ability to organize, perform and track multiple tasks accurately in short timeframes, has ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast- paced environment while managing multiple demands, ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player, adaptability, analytical and problem solving ability and attention to detail and able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accuratelySeniority LevelDirectorIndustryHospitals and Health CareFinancial ServicesAccountingEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionsFinanceAccounting/AuditingSkillsAttention to DetailCash FlowFinanceManagement AccountingAccount ReconciliationAnalytical SkillsMathematicsPolicies & ProceduresProblem
