Our platform provides the technical and financial foundation to make this happen. In doing so, we’re actively accelerating the energy transition — for households, for our partners, and for the planet.We’ve recently secured €500 million in funding commitments to green 25,000 households over the next two years. Prior to that, we raised a Pre-Seed round backed by several renowned VCs — and we’ve been growing rapidly ever since.As Finance Lead (m/f/d) you will not only build up the department – you will also help us shape the financial infrastructure for the green transformation.Tasks GeneralYou will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the finance department, which includes accounting, controlling, financing and tax, serving as the primary contact for all economic and tax-related matters.Development and implementation of Controlling / Finance processes, tools and procedures to ensure fast, high quality reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysisBuilding, structuring, and leading a scalable finance teamYou are responsible to design and implement new things from scratch and not to optimize the last 5%. You take ownership to make things happen!FP&AYou will conceptualize and coordinate the preparation of the annual budget, mid-year forecasts and Cash Flow forecastTrack, analyze and report Plan / Actual variances. Keep an eye on us achieving our revenue and profitability goals within agreed spendingsMonitor cash flow to ensure liquidity, optimize working capital, and support financing needs with suitable instruments.AccountingYou and your team manage all organizational and operational accounting tasks, including preparatory activities. While core bookkeeping lies with the external tax office, you oversee the process and ensure smooth collaboration.Monthly & Annual Financial Statements: You are responsible for timely, accurate HGB-compliant statements, coordinating and reviewing annual statements with the tax office.RequirementsAt least 5 years of professional experience in finance, ideally in start-ups, scale-ups or fintechs, with proven expertise in building and leading finance teams as well as in the strategic development of finance departmentsIn-depth knowledge of financial management, cash flow management, cost structures, and the structuring and execution of credit processes for corporate financing – particularly in working capital and growth financing for fast-growing companiesStrong expertise in lending, ideally across both B2B and B2C environments, as well as in implementing complex financing products such as installment models, asset-backed securities, factoring, and BNPLSolid knowledge of German accounting (HGB) and tax law, with a strong command of relevant regulations and standards.Strong knowledge of digital finance tools (e.g., DATEV, Spend, Treasury / Liquidity, Billing, FP&A) and a willingness to adopt new digital solutions.Proven responsibility for managing large financial volumes (ranging from hundreds of millions to billions)You are a hands-on person, who likes to get operationally involved while keeping an eye on the strategic master plan at the same timeExperience in structuring, sourcing, and refinancing debt capital as well as in working with capital market instruments are a plusWhat we offerThe opportunity to help shape one of the most central areas of a fast-growing Climate FinTech from the ground up.Work side-by-side with our experienced founders — Marius (3x founder) and Jakob (2x founder).
