And this is where your ride starts.YOUR MISSIONThis role is for a senior manager (Head of Finance & Strategy) and member of Glovo Kazakhstan Leadership Team, who will lead the Finance team and own strategy that will shape the future of our business in the country and beyondWe're looking for someone who has a mix of below:Operational excellence - to get great work done in every detailCollaboration and negotiation skills needed to deliver results with internal (local departments, HQ finance teams), and external (third party contractors, auditors, tax authorities…) stakeholdersStrategic, innovative and creative thinking that's required to develop outside the box solutions to bring Glovo’s strategy and profitability to next levelManagement skills and emotional intelligence required to lead and inspire a teamTHE JOURNEYLead the Finance Department in Kazakhstan and take decisions that will shape the future of our business in the country and beyondGeneral Manager’s right-hand in all finance & strategic topicManage financial statements, profitability strategy and preparation of forecasts & budgetingBe involved in management financial controls: definition of procedures, the design of budget processes.Prepare & present monthly, quarterly / annual finance reports and analysis (P&L and cost-saving plans)Prepare analysis and justifications of actuals data, forecasts, and deviationsStudy the viability of investments/projects - reports, strategic reorientation, etc.Assess new business opportunities and new vertical developments and changes to drive investments in line with growth & profitability guidelinesIncubate and lead the launch of new projects in the CountrySupport & oversee treasury/accounting, financial policies in line with local and international guidelinesCoordinate preparation and ensure accuracy of necessary Financial StatementsSupervise the relationship with third parties: external auditors, administrations, external consultantsAd hoc analysis to provide the different managers with information for decision making.Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference.What You Will Bring To The Ride10+ years of experience in total7+ years of experience in Finance and/or Consulting 7+ years in a Leadership RoleBachelor's degree in finance and/or business (MBAs/ACCA/CPA/CIMA Certification would be an advantage)Knowledge of local accounting and tax standards (IFRS)SkillsProblem solvingStrong problem-solving skills - you are hypothesis-driven & looking for data to drive decisionsAn ability to take any problem, deep dive, reveal route cause, draft improvement solutions and communicate to stakeholdersPresentation & Communication skillsGreat communication and interpersonal skillsAn ability to summarise and present complex plans to Management and key stakeholdersTeam leadership:7+ years of experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve collective goalsExperience building and managing high-performance teams to achieve ambitious goals: strong organisational skills and delegation, ability to prioritise and multitask, work well under pressure, and handle multiple issues simultaneously in a dynamic environmentBusiness acumen:Proven track record of understanding and empathising with colleagues’ / partners' challenges, and objectives to create strategies and deliver value through collaborationStakeholder collaboration:External: Proven experience of working with external partners and governmental authorities to align on strategic initiatives and ensure seamless collaborationInternal: You’re an expert on managing stakeholders, working with peers, and leveraging other teams aspiring to do what’s best for the companyProject managementHighly organised and detail-oriented approach, you are able to maintain and deliver on time multiple project simultaneouslyOtherExcellent knowledge of Google Suite and/or MS Office, ExcelExcellent written and spoken Kazak, Russian & English languageCultureAbility to work in a high growth and high-performance start-up with a fast pace while being hands-on and autonomousAdaptable, positive mindset: possess a flexible attitude towards evolving roles within finance domain; we value versatility & the ability to adapt to new challenges while ensuring a consistent job scopeA can-do attitude and endless curiosity - you wonder why something happened / spend hours figuring it out, and can’t stop thinking about solutionsObsessed with continuous improvements, delivering value and allergic to manual tasks!An empathetic and inclusive attitude - you are always respectful, kind, and fairIndividuals representing diverse profiles, and abilities, encompassing various genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, are less likely to apply for this role if they do not possess solid experience in 100% of these areas.
