Award winning "Digital Bank"Head of Finance Transformation £100,000-£130,000 base plus package & bonusEfficiency is paramount for this award winning digital bank and their mission within the finance and treasury teams is to build a world class operating model enabling colleagues to focus on analysis and decision making rather than data production. Reporting into the Finance Director, the purpose of this role is to lead the transformation and product roadmap for finance, playing a pivotal role in driving forward change, innovation and improvements in our processes in order to support the rapid growth of the Bank.This role will lead the wider finance transformation “squad” made up of individuals within data engineering, data analytics, software engineering and finance.Principal responsibilities will include:· Act as the key bridge between finance and a broader stakeholder group at the bank, including product teams, operations, data and technology.· Understand the scope and requirements of new products, working with wider finance teams to ensure that finance’s requirements, testing and integration plan is adequately managed. Facilitate decision making by providing stakeholders with practical solutions.· Lead the finance change agenda, managing finance’s transformation roadmap whilst ensuring to factor in resource needs within finance for bank-wide initiatives. Maintain an ongoing log of finance issues and requests that require remediation work and own the prioritisation of these items.· Drive innovation and improvements in the bank’s process and control environment, focusing on end-to-end process and dataflows. Work with software engineers to identify opportunities for automation and implement.· Support wider finance teams in ensuring dataflows arising from the bank’s core lending and deposit platforms are complete, accurate and prepared in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.· Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously· Navigate the data warehouse to determine whether required reporting fields exist in the available tables or if the data needs to be obtained from source systems. Where additional fields are required, work with the product and engineering teams to get this setup· Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement consistent with the cultural context of the organisationAs the ideal candidate you will be an experienced qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA or equivalent) with a proven track record of working in a change and transformation landscape, ideally within a fintech/banking/financial services environment. You will have confidence of working with large data sets and understand the basics of a data warehouse environment. a knowledge of Basic SQL would be advantageous. You will have the personality and skills to manage and lead a dynamic team tasked with driving the change agenda for the bank.
