Job DescriptionJob Title: Head of Global Master Planning & Supply ChainReports to: Chief Operating OfficerLocation: Dublin, IrelandAbout Ornua:Ornua is a leading dairy co-operative which sells premium dairy products globally on behalf of its Member Co-operatives, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers.Ornua has revenues of €3.4 billion and is supported by a global team of approximately 2,800 employees. The Group operates as a commercial organisation across 10 business units, including 12 production facilities located in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.The commercial organisation is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Ireland’s most successful food export: Kerrygold. Consumer markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales & Marketing Teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe and North and Latin America.It also manages the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers globally, and the implementation of de-risking and trading strategies to manage market volatility. These activities are supported by production facilities and in-market teams in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.The RoleA newly created role on the Global Operations Leadership Team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for creating a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for Global Master Planning and Supply Chain for the Ornua group. This role is responsible for global co-ordination of S&OP effectiveness & decision making, logistics, warehousing and global inventory management, and vendor operations control and reporting. This role will have team members based in Dublin.Key ResponsibilitiesFully resource and lead the Global Master Planning and Supply Chain team. Define and deliver the strategic roadmap for Global Master Planning and Supply Chain, as a key pillar of the COO strategy, ensuring alignment with Ornua’s global commercial objectives. Create, align & deliver a plan that coordinates an efficient and cost-effective solution across the cooperative in terms of the various routes to market, whether this be the Ornua factory network or indeed the co-manufacturing support facilities. Responsible for the global coordination of S&OP cycle effectiveness and ultimately the customer experience. Coordination and management of own logistics, warehousing and global inventory management for Supply Chain Operations from Dublin Co-op. Responsible for vendor operations control and reporting and cost effectiveness Manage key relationships and vendor partnerships that are critical to the success of the demand planning and supply chain function. Ensure the right technology roadmap is defined and implemented to further enable the effectiveness of global master planning and supply chain activity across Ornua. Play a key role as a member of the new Global Operations Leadership Team, providing input into strategic decisions for the COO organisation. Lead and develop the Global Master Planning & Supply Chain Team, fostering a high-performance culture. Key Requirements15+ years of progressive demand planning and supply chain experience, some of which should be within the Food/Dairy sector. A technical expert and leader with capability to develop progressive and ambitious plans for the Global Master Planning & Supply Chain function. Excellent programme management skills and a data driven approach to decision making, with a strong focus on delivering results in line with clear KPIs. Track record of demonstrating an enterprise-wide and challenger mindset to drive progress and deliver on key projects. Ability to thrive in our co-operative environment where there is a strong emphasis on building strong stakeholder relationships within a nuanced, relationship-driven, internal structure. Excellent people leadership skills and associated track-record, with a clear commitment to working inclusively, developing talent and building future leaders.
