Head of IMO (Integration Management Office)Velto Renewables (Velto), a subsidiary of La Caisse (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement de Québec), is looking for a Head of IMO (Integration Management Office) to join its team in Madrid, Spain, and work closely with the CEO and the Senior Management Team. Velto Renewables is a renewable energy independent power producer with a long-term asset ownership strategy. Established in 2020 and backed by the global investment group La Caisse, Velto Renewables is committed to contributing to the decarbonization of the global economy and the European energy transition by investing in and developing an international and multi-technology portfolio of renewable energy projects. Velto currently owns more than 320 MW of operating and under construction solar PV and wind projects in Spain and France, manages a 25% investment in a 630 MW offshore wind farm in the United Kingdom, develops 1+GW of greenfield projects in Iberia, and is seeking to grow its portfolio by becoming a local player in the countries and regions where it invests. The Head of the IMO Office is a strategic role responsible for leading the company's new Integration Management Office. He/she will manage the integration into Velto’s portfolio of new acquired assets defining and implementing comprehensive processes and working closely with Asset Management, Development & Construction, Finance, and Legal areas. He/she will be the guardian in charge of delivering integration on time, within budget, and aligned with our corporate goals. He/she will establish the frameworks, processes, and culture of disciplined execution that will scale with our growth.ResponsibilitiesIMO Establishment & Leadership: complete the definition of Velto’s IMO, including its charter, governance model, and operating procedures.Leading integration of renewable energy portfolios following the IMO processes and in coordination with the operational departments of the company. Strategic Initiative Oversight: directly oversee major, cross-functional integration projects and programs. Facilitate key coordination meetings, manage risks, issues, and dependencies, and ensure proactive communication to all stakeholders.Performance Monitoring & Reporting: establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress, quality and success of the integration process. Continuous Improvement: champion a culture of continuous improvement within the project management culture of the company. Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and refine processes.CompetenciesExpert knowledge of project and program management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, PMP) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet).Mastery of portfolio management, risk management, and financial analysis (NPV, IRR, budgeting, forecasting).Demonstrated ability to develop and implement governance frameworks and standard operating procedures from scratch.Strong financial acumen with experience in capital budgeting and managing high value project portfolios.Strong expertise and understanding of HSE and ESG cultures, processes, governance, etc. Exceptional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive change and gain buy-in from senior executives and cross-functional teams without direct authority.Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Able to distill complex information for various audiences.Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Education and experienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (e.g., PgMP).Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish;10+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a PMO, IMO, or similar function.Proven track record of successfully establishing or significantly transforming a PMO/IMO in a fast-paced environment.Direct experience in the renewable energy sector, with a strong preference for solar. Must understand the project lifecycle of a solar development (e.g., site identification, permitting, financing, EPC, interconnection, commissioning).
