Job Description

Despite our successes in the last few years, we know we can be better. In particular, there is work to be done in terms of raising achievement and outcomes for pupils. It means helping every pupil reach it - with challenge, high expectations and teaching to the top.We will pay particular attention to children from disadvantaged backgrounds because the disadvantage gap is widening. We will put those pupils with SEND first because if it works for our SEND pupils, it works for everyone. All of this is in line with our SEEAT Mission: 'To raise and sustain educational standards in our schools through high aspirations for all.'As Head of Inclusion, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping inclusive education across SEEAT. You will lead on strategy, policy, and professional development to remove barriers to achievement for disadvantaged pupils, those with SEND, EAL, and other vulnerable groups. This is a unique opportunity to influence practice across a growing multi-academy trust and ensure that all pupils-particularly those facing additional challenges-have access to high-quality teaching and learning. This is a part-time role, working 0.4 FTE, and would suit someone who may be looking to take a step back from a full-time leadership role or to balance other professional or personal commitments.Whether you are an experienced inclusion leader seeking a new challenge, or ready to step into a trust-wide role, this position offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people across our schools. You will be a qualified teacher with an appropriate SEND leadership-level qualification, with a demonstrable track record of improvement and impact in terms of inclusion, ideally across more than one school. You will be working at the very heart of our ambitious central team and will be a key point of contact for the SEEAT Executive team, Trustees and Headteachers, so it is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills and that your personal values align with our Trust ethos. In return, we can offer flexible working in an interesting environment where no day is the same. The SEEAT central team is based at The Deanes, however the nature of the role means that travel to all SEEAT schools should be expected, so the successful postholder must have the ability to travel between all nine of our schools, ideally with a full UK driving licence. For information about SEEAT and the Head of Inclusion role, including the job description for this role, please view our vacacy and recruitment pack available when you click Apply Now.All applicants will be contacted to have an informal chat with us before shortlisting, but if you'd like to arrange a conversation before applying, please don't hesitate to contact us.
