Great career opportunityJoin a dynamic and ambitious, international companyAbout Our ClientOur client is an international, publicly traded FinTech with multiple, global locations.Job DescriptionLead the Legal and Compliance functionAdvise Senior Management on legal and regulatory requirementsImplement and execute the corporate risk and compliance strategyEnsure policies meet the Swiss regulator requirements and personally conduct internal communication and training sessions across the Swiss officeMonitor and apply the latest Swiss regulator legislation to daily operationsPrepare and submit monthly and quarterly Compliance reports to the Swiss regulator and internal stakeholdersManage and participate in regulatory auditsExecutive and continuously improve Credit Risk and Compliance processesProcess KYC and AML checks for client on boardingMonitor and review client portfolios and transactions on an ongoing basisDirectly investigate suspicious activity and filing reportsActing as MLRO SwitzerlandDesign and execute the compliance monitoring and controls planOversee and support the account opening teamConduct the annual compliance risk assessmentManage and update the the policy governance frameworkServe as Secretary to the Board and Board CommitteesOrganize and manage shareholders meetings and communicationsReview, negotiate and draft all legal agreements for the bankThe Successful ApplicantRelevant management experience in the Swiss Financial markets and digital finance industryUnderstanding of the local financial services legal and regulatory frameworkDemonstrable experience in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with peers and senior managementLegal education, Swiss law degree or equivalent10+ years of experience in legal and compliance, ideally in banking/fintechExperience with AML, KYC, regulatory approvals and digital financeDeep familiarity woth FINMA regulations, Swiss banking law, AMLA, and data protection lawsAbility to balance risk mitigation with enabling growthAble to lead a team, interact with senior management and boardIdeally a good understanding of virtual assets and online tradingMust be fluent in English.
