Mantell Associates is partnered with a well-established global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of high-quality generic and biosimilar medicines, in their search for a Head of Manufacturing to assume full responsibility for all production operations.Head of Manufacturing - Responsibilities:Lead the manufacturing operations for the site: manage production schedules, ensure on-time, in-full output while maintaining compliance with GMP, safety and environmental standardsSet and deliver strategic manufacturing goals aligned with global and company objectives: cost, capacity, quality, lead-times, plant efficiencyBuild and lead a high-performing manufacturing leadership team: recruit, develop, mentor, and retain talent across shifts and production functionsDrive continuous improvement culture: implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma tools, process optimisation, waste reduction and digital manufacturing initiativesCollaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D and Maintenance to support new product launches, process changes and technology transfersEnsure regulatory compliance: GMP, local regulatory requirements, health & safety, environmental regulations, audits and inspectionsMonitor KPIs, present operational performance to senior leadership, identify risks and drive corrective actions and preventive measuresPromote a culture of safety, quality, team engagement and operational excellence throughout the manufacturing siteHead of Manufacturing - Requirements:Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in manufacturing management within a regulated pharmaceutical environment (preferably generics or biosimilars)Demonstrable leadership experience managing large production teams, multiple shifts and significant manufacturing throughputStrong technical and operational know-how of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (steriles, biologics, fill/finish, etc) and GMP requirementsTrack record of driving operational excellence, lean/continuous improvement initiatives, and cost efficiency improvementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teamsFluent English required; knowledge of Slovenian or another regional language is a strong advantageStrong leadership presence, drive for results, high standards of compliance and a people-centric leadership styleBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related disciplineMantell Associates is a specialist Pharmaceutical and Life Science headhunting firm.
