Job Description

Our client is a leading International FMCG business with a sizable global presence. Their UK business is looking to appoint a talented Head of Marketing in a new role that will redefine how they approach marketing. You will lead the marketing strategy and execution across all categories in the UK market, ensuring profitable growth through strong brand positioning, innovation and adequate product range, with effective communication strategies aligned with the Group’s global objectives. Key Responsibilities·        Develop and execute the marketing plan for the UK, covering own brands, private label and licensed products.·        Support the definition of long-term category strategy, identifying growth opportunities and driving brand differentiation.·        Manage the product portfolio lifecycle — innovation, renovation, pricing, packaging, and communication.·        Lead market research and consumer insight analysis to identify trends and opportunities, guiding decisions on product and communication strategies.·        Oversee ATL & BTL campaigns, digital media, and trade marketing initiatives, ensuring ROI and consistency with brand positioning.·        Coordinate product launches and relaunches, ensuring timely go-to-market and commercial alignment.·        Supervise the marketing budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimisation.·        Collaborate closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Product Development and Finance teams to align profitability targets, innovation, forecasts and promotional plans, in coordination with the wider Marketing organization.·        Manage direct report(s), providing guidance, development, and performance evaluation.·        Represent the company externally at trade fairs and customer events.·         Decision-Making Scope·        Define and get approval for the annual marketing and communication plans.·        Approve pricing recommendations and promotional strategies within agreed guidelines.·        Select external agencies (creative, media, research) and approve campaign deliverables.·        Approve product and packaging changes within scope and budget.·         Key KPIs·        Market share growth in all categories.·        Brand awareness and equity tracking.·        ROI on marketing investments.·        NPD launch success rate and on-time delivery.·        Customer and consumer satisfaction scores.·        Profitability improvement (gross margin & contribution).·         ProfileEducation: University degree in Marketing, Management, or related field. Postgraduate degree or MSc in Marketing Analytics, Brand Management, or Digital Marketing is an advantage.Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Marketing within FMCG food or non - food
