IntroductionNord Pool is looking for a Head of Nord Pool Academy, as part of the Nord Pool Strategic Services team. Nord Pool Strategic Services team is responsible for several business areas:Services to power exchanges in EuropeNord Pool ConsultingNord Pool AcademyServices to Transmission System OperatorsOther related servicesThrough expert courses and seminars, Nord Pool Academy provides in-depth training led by market specialists with extensive experience in capacity building, market operations and development. Nord Pool Academy offers both standardized courses for market participants and industry stakeholders, as well as tailored training programmes designed to meet the specific needs of companies and organizations. With a strong track record in developing high-quality educational materials, Nord Pool Academy ensures that knowledge is accessible, practical and impactful. To strengthen the team, we are looking for a colleague who will be leading Nord Pool Academy with a strong ambition to grow and expand this activity. The role will report to the Director of Nord Pool Strategic Services. We are looking for a professional and customer-oriented manager with at least 10 years of experience in managing small business units on a high growth journey. The role is a fulltime position and will preferably be in one of our offices in Espoo or Oslo. As part of your role, you should expect trips within Europe, both to our other offices and to meet and engage with customers and partners. Core MissionsHave overarching responsibility for Nord Pool Academy, including editorial, commercial, budget/financial and managerial responsibilitiesDrive the development of Nord Pool Academy as a business within the businessSet-up and follow Nord Pool Academy's strategic roadmap, as well as annual budget and other strategic initiativesSet-up and coordinate an organization, consistent working methodologies and processes so that Nord Pool Academy becomes scalable and a platform for growthKeep a high-quality standard in the content (current modules and new ones to be developed) that is provided by Academy, so ensure that the knowledge is provided in a clear, understandable, consistent and appealing mannerEnlarge the geographical footprint of the business, as well as attract new customersIncrease the visibility of Academy inside and outside the company, with the support of other departmentsMaintain and develop relationships with clients and partners, and maintain a cooperative relationship with the Services team and other departments inside the companyDrive and participate in the creation, development and launch of new initiatives, strategic business projects related to the energy markets through organic growth, partnerships or acquisition together with the Chief Strategy Officer and various teams in the companyMonitor the competitive landscape for the company's products, conduct screening analysis to identify business targets, analysis and benchmarking vs competition Core skillsSolid understanding of, and interest in, Power markets with significant experience in energy trading/exchangesExperience in teaching/training or any other editorial jobs is a plusGood presentation skills, both on stage and in writingProven managerial capabilities, leadership skills and experience in functioning in a highly demanding and complex environmentInternational experience, cultural sensitivity and proven international exposureTeam player, both with the Nord Pool Academy team and with other teamsSolid network of contacts and relationships in the energy trading industryAbility to work with both internal and external stakeholders to make sure we set the right priorities from a commercial point of view and provide a high-quality service to our customersWe are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
