Head of Operational ExcellenceLocation: UxbridgeReports to: Operational Excellence DirectorTo support the Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Director, drive and coordinate the implementation of the Pilgrims Europe Operational Excellence Model, ensuring the management method is embedded in all operations.ResponsibilitiesFocus on Continuous Improvement across the Operations (Agriculture and Factories).Responsible to find new solutions to improve the results.Identify Gaps based on technical and financial analysis.Manage Opex KPIs (method, standard, analysis, KPI meetings, presentations for Exec meetings).Problematic and Operations issues (when requested upon the team will help facilitate solutions).Bring technical help and best practices (Internal and External).Update Theoretical GAP (Based on assumptions, with the best result against benchmark result or the best possible results).Lead Gaps Tracker.Link with the sustainability area to manage GAPs and continuous improvement in utilities (Electricity, Gas and Water).Support in planning process optimizationEssential Criteria Availability for travel across the Sites on almost any day of the week.Degree in relevant disciplineExtensive Continuous Improvement experience gained in Major FMCG organisation(s) including:Establishing benchmarks for business and manufacturing process improvement initiatives, tracking performance to ensure successful implementation;Overseeing the evaluation of performance benchmarks to identify performance gaps and develop strategies for resolving those gaps;Providing expert business change management guidance;Definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPI);Standardization of best practices for sustainability;Process mappingExcellent coaching skills, including ability to ‘lean’ coachDesirable CriteriaRelevant Post Graduate level or professional qualification (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).Design, implementation and management of the Excellence Awards programmeFood industry experience
