Head of Operations

Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and plans for security, transport, and maintenance in line with company objectives. Lead planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades, facility expansions, and capital projects aligned with BPIL’s growth strategy.Ensure all operational activities comply with legal, safety, and environmental standards.Develop and monitor performance metrics for fleet utilization, asset uptime, maintenance costs, and security incidents.Champion the adoption of digital tools (e.g., fleet tracking, CMMS, surveillance systems) to enhance operational efficiency and visibility. Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for facilities, equipment, and vehicles.Collaborate with production, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless end-to-end operations. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to departmental managers and teams.Coordinate risk assessments, emergency response, and incident management activities.Liaise with external security agencies and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and readiness.Oversee transport operations, including fleet management, route planning, vehicle maintenance, and fuel monitoring. Manage budgets, contractor performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.Implement systems to improve asset reliability and longevity.Build and motivate high-performing teams through supervision, coaching, and performance management. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all operations.RequirementsEducation & TrainingBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.Master’s Degree is an added advantage.Skills & Experience15+ years of relevant experience at a managerial level, providing operational leadership and staff management. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multi-site operations.Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, or agribusiness preferred.Strong understanding of HSE standards and ISO certifications.Proven success implementing preventive maintenance systems or fleet optimization strategies. Demonstrated experience overseeing security, transport, and maintenance functions.Knowledge of contract management and operational best practices.Strong managerial, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).Excellent financial management and strategic planning capability. Strong leadership and team-building skills.
