Head of Planning and Development (Sarawak)Your new company A well-established and reputable property developer in East Malaysia is seeking a dynamic Senior Development Manager to join their growing team. With a strong track record in townships and mixed-use developments, the company continues to play a key role in shaping Sarawak's urban landscape.As part of their expansion plans, the successful candidate will lead the planning and execution of large-scale development projects from concept through to delivery. This is a strategic role with both technical and commercial responsibilities, ideal for someone looking to leave a lasting mark in one of Malaysia's most promising regions. Your new role Drive and manage end-to-end township and parcel development, including master planning, authority liaison, budgeting, and project delivery. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure milestones, budgets, and quality targets are achieved. Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts, cost controls, and billing projections Ensure timely submission of plans and documents to local authorities, and oversee the process to secure necessary approvals and CCC. Lead internal and external meetings to resolve operational and technical challenges. Identify project risks and propose effective mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with relevant legal, statutory, and environmental requirements. What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Minimum 8-10 years' experience in property/township development. Strong understanding of local authority processes, infrastructure works, and contract management. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage consultants and contractors. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
