Location: Abu DhabiDuration: Yearly Renewable ContractRole PurposeThe Head of Core Development Department is responsible for leading the development and evolution of the government’s core technical capabilities, including common microservices, shared packages, developer tools, engineering standards, service reviews, and performance optimization frameworks.The role ensures that all government entities can build high-quality, secure, and high-performing digital services by leveraging unified standards, reusable components, and modern development practicesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.10+ years of experience in software development, platform engineering, or enterprise architecture.Proven experience building shared technical components, platform capabilities, or common microservices.Strong knowledge of microservices, APIs, cloud-native architectures, and DevSecOps practices.Experience with performance engineering and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry).Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
