Our client is a fast-growing consumer business which operations in multiple international markets.With an ambitious growth strategy to 2030, they're set to double their revenue and further expand globally while increasing profitability and sustainability.Our client is seeking a Head of Policy & Public Affairs to join the Corporate Affairs Leadership team during this exciting growth phase. This is a pivotal senior leadership role that will shape how this major business navigates the complex global regulatory landscape while building their reputation with key stakeholders.As Head of Policy & Public Affairs, you'll be the bridge between the organization and the external world – from government officials and regulators to NGOs and media – helping tell their story and influence public policy across key markets. This role will lead and manage:Strategic LeadershipDevelop and implement holistic public affairs strategies to protect and enhance the company's license to operate globallyCreate policy influence strategies across the EU, UK, and US through government affairs, communications, and coalition buildingOwn the Public Affairs budget and decision-making authorityBuild and lead a global Government Relations Centre of ExcellenceStakeholder EngagementCultivate relationships with government agencies, policymakers, and regulatory bodiesLead advocacy efforts and act as company spokesperson on policy mattersDevelop strategic partnerships with NGOs and industry associationsManage crisis communications and reputation protectionPolicy Analysis & InsightsMonitor legislative developments and assess their impact on business operationsProvide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on policy analysisPartner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Marketing)Lead development of policy publications, white papers, and position statementsWhat We're Looking For12+ years in Public Affairs roles, preferably in retail/FMCG or consultingSenior leadership experience with proven track record in large organizationsGovernment relations expertise across multiple markets, particularly EU/UKCrisis communication and issues management experienceThis role offers the unique opportunity to build a function from the ground up, establish teams across multiple markets, and directly influence how a major international consumer business engages with the evolving regulatory landscape.
