Head of Product – Data PlatformsLocation: London, Salford or Cardiff (either location is fine)Expectation: Hybrid – 2 days on-site per weekRate: £650 p/d Inside IR35 (Umbrella)Project Duration: 4 months initiallyIndustry: Media, BroadcastThis role is for my client within their Product – Content Discovery department. The position sits within a high-performing product leadership team, responsible for driving the strategy, scalability, and delivery of complex data platforms that power a wide range of digital services.Skills & Experience Needed:• Extensive experience operating as a senior product leader within large-scale, complex organisations.• Proven track record building and scaling internal platforms and shared services (not just end-user features).• Demonstrable experience owning and evolving event-driven data platforms.• Strong technical fluency with the ability to work closely with engineering and architecture teams (AWS, SQL).• Experience in matrixed environments managing high-volume, mission-critical data systems.• Ability to balance technical depth with strategic product vision and long-term platform development.Essential:• Significant experience managing and developing products and services, including defining product roadmaps, lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement, and applying market or audience knowledge.• Proven experience writing and evaluating product specifications, proposals, and reports.• Strong background managing multi-disciplinary teams within agile environments, with in-depth knowledge of agile delivery principles and quality software engineering practices.• Ability to plan, forecast, and deliver within product budgets.• Significant experience selecting and applying appropriate technologies for product, service, or platform delivery.• Proven ability to understand and prioritise user needs, whether from audience members, editorial, or development teams.• Experience managing large teams (circa 20–60) to deliver high-profile, strategic products or platforms within major media or technology organisations.If you are interested in this position, please apply or send your CV to anthony.dale@adalta-solutions.com for consideration.
