By transforming Israel into a living classroom and offering a robust, integrated curriculum, we aim to develop and foster within our teens a passion for lifelong learning and leadership, giving them the tools and the confidence to impact their communities worldwide.Position SummaryThe Head of Program Management is responsible for overseeing the design, execution, and continuous improvement of AMHSI's educational & travel programs. This role ensures that all logistical, academic, and experiential components align with the school's mission while delivering high-quality and seamless student experiences. The position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for Israel education and experiential learning.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & Educational Travel ManagementLead the design, planning, and delivery of experiential educational travel programs that bring Israel’s history, culture, and heritage to life for students.Develop guided educational tours that integrate classroom learning with immersive field experiences, aligning with AMHSI’s academic and educational goals.Collaborate with faculty, field educators, and tour guides to create engaging, inquiry-based itineraries that foster deeper understanding, reflection, and connection to the land and its people.Ensure the highest standards of safety, logistics, and risk management across all tours and excursions, coordinating closely with security and operations teams.Build and maintain partnerships with museums, heritage sites, local communities, and service providers to enrich student experiences and expand program opportunities.Leadership & Team ManagementSupervise and mentor a team of program coordinators, and logistics staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, learning, and collaboration.Serve as the primary contact for on-the-ground tour operations, resolving issues in real time and ensuring the highest standards of participant experience.Promote a spirit of teamwork and excellence, ensuring that every staff member embodies AMHSI’s educational mission and values.Stakeholder Engagement & PartnershipsAct as a key liaison between AMHSI, partner schools, parents, travel agencies, and educational institutions, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.Strengthen relationships with local communities, national parks, and cultural organizations to enhance program authenticity and relevance.Budget & Operations ManagementOversee the operational and travel budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.Evaluate program outcomes, collect participant feedback, and provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.Develop long-term strategies to ensure the growth and sustainability of AMHSI’s educational tourism programs. Qualifications & RequirementsBA in Education, Jewish Studies, History, Tourism, or a related field (MA preferred).At least 4 years of experience in educational program management, travel logistics, or a related field, preferably in an Israel-based or Jewish educational setting.Proven experience leading teams, managing staff, and developing high-quality educational travel experiences.Deep understanding of Israel's history, culture, and educational landscape.Familiarity with experiential and project-based learning methodologies.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in budgeting and operations management.Fluent in English
