Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of R&D to lead our research and development department, driving innovation and excellence in building next-generation trading platforms for international markets. You will play a critical role in defining the technology roadmap, nurturing top engineering talent, and ensuring the successful delivery of new solutions that set industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the R&D team responsible for researching and developing new technologies and solutions for trading platforms.Define and execute the R&D strategy aligned with business goals and emerging trends in the trading and fintech sectors.Collaborate closely with CTO, Product Owners, and Business stakeholders to drive product innovation and maximize technology value.Evaluate, select, and implement cutting-edge technologies relevant to high-frequency trading, low latency systems, AI/ML, Big Data, security, and automation.Oversee the R&D project roadmap, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.Build and foster a high-performing R&D team through talent acquisition, coaching, and retention initiatives.Promote a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement throughout the R&D organization.Ensure strict compliance with global industry standards for security, safety, and data privacy within all products and processes.Continuously identify, evaluate, and apply new technological trends to enhance product competitiveness and efficiency.Optimize R&D expenditures and resources to maximize innovation outcomes and return on investment.Key Requirements:Proven Leadership in R&D: Minimum 5 years’ experience managing R&D teams in software technology, ideally related to trading, fintech, financial markets, or securities.Strong Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of trading platform architecture, high-frequency/algorithmic trading, API design, big data, security, and low-latency systems.Innovation-Driven Mindset: Demonstrated ability to foster innovation and translate ideas into deliverable solutions.Product-Oriented Approach: Skilled at aligning technical capabilities with market needs and translating business vision into impactful product features.Team Building & Development: Track record of hiring, coaching, and retaining high-caliber R&D talent.Project Management Expertise: Proficient in modern project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and handling multiple projects concurrently.Excellent English Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills for international collaboration and industry research.Security & Compliance Leadership: Experience establishing processes that ensure adherence to global security and compliance standards in financial technology.Budget & Resource Management: Ability to allocate resources effectively, manage budgets, and ensure optimal use of investments in R&D.Professional Network: Well-connected within the fintech, trading, AI, and innovation communities, with collaborations and industry insight.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.International work experience or exposure to global markets.Experience with cloud-native architecture, blockchain, or real-time analytics is a strong plus.Why Join Us?Be at the forefront of technological innovation in global trading platforms.Lead a passionate team in a dynamic, result-oriented environment.Attractive compensation package, performance-based incentives, and professional growth opportunities.
