Head of Retail, Global Operations (Headquarters: Thessaloniki)Ergon Foods is a rapidly expanding, all-encompassing Greek food and lifestyle brand. Our retail network is a critical component of our brand presence, connecting consumers directly to our story, products, and culinary philosophy across our entire territory of operation.The Head of Retail, Global Operations, will be a pivotal executive leader responsible for the performance, expansion, and operational excellence of all Ergon Food’s retail locations globally. This role requires an executive with strong commercial acumen and deep experience in multi-site, food, and specialty retail environments. You will be the custodian of the Ergon retail customer experience and brand identity across all physical stores.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Leadership & Commercial PerformanceGlobal Strategy: Develop and execute the international retail strategy (including company-owned and franchised units), ensuring successful market entry, sustained growth, and consistent execution tailored to each market's needs.P&L Management: Own and drive the entire global retail division's P&L, ensuring the achievement of ambitious sales, margin, and profitability targets across all operating markets.2. Operational Excellence & TrainingStandards Custodian: Act as the custodian of the brand experience, enforcing best-in-class operational standards and visual merchandising across all global retail locations to maintain Ergon's premium image.Inventory & Logistics: Oversee high-level retail operations and logistics to optimize inventory flow, minimize waste, and ensure consistent delivery of the highest quality products.Store Manager Training: Design and execute comprehensive training programs for all Store Managers and area teams, focusing on operational policy, superior customer service, food quality standards, and retail best practices.3. Cross-Functional CollaborationMarketing & Product: Partner with the Marketing Department to develop and implement impactful in-store promotions. Provide the Product Team with critical customers’ insights and sales data to inform product innovation and range optimization.Finance & Procurement: Collaborate closely with the Finance team for budgeting, forecasting, and investment approval. Work with Procurement to ensure cost-effective sourcing and supply chain management.RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least four years in a multi-site Head of Retail capacity.Commercial Acumen: Proven track record of managing a retail P&L and delivering commercial results.Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of consumer behavior and the food and specialty retail market.Language: Fluent in both Greek and English (required).Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field.
